Return and Refund Policy

At Nuema, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Nuema is a storefront operated by Nuema LLC. This policy explains when items may be returned, when refunds are available, and how our return process works.

For payment processing and billing purposes, your order may appear on your bank, card, or payment-provider statement as Nuema LLC, NUEMA LLC, Nuema, or another descriptor associated with Nuema LLC.

Nuema currently accepts orders only for delivery to addresses within the United States. We do not sell, ship, or deliver orders outside the United States.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable federal, state, or local consumer protection, product warranty, defective-goods, chargeback, or other mandatory laws.

General Returns

You may request a return within 45 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • Unused;
  • Unassembled and uninstalled;
  • In its original condition;
  • In its original packaging, including all protective materials, parts, accessories, manuals, and documentation; and
  • Suitable for resale after inspection.

Sale or discounted items are eligible for return if they otherwise meet the requirements of this policy.

Returns requested after 45 days from delivery are not eligible for return unless required by applicable law.

How to Start a Return

To start a return for an order you have already placed, contact us at support@nuemadesign.com within 45 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason for the return.

If your return is eligible, we will provide return instructions and, where applicable, a prepaid return shipping label or return collection instructions. Items must be returned using the instructions we provide. Items sent back without first contacting us may not be accepted.

Return Shipping Costs

For eligible orders delivered within the United States, we offer free returns. This means we will cover the standard return shipping cost for eligible items returned in accordance with this policy.

Unless we state otherwise in writing, return collection is curbside only. Customers are responsible for safely disassembling, repacking, and making the item available for pickup in its original packaging. White-glove pickup, in-home removal, disassembly, assembly, packaging services, missed pickup fees, storage fees, redelivery fees, and similar service fees are not included in free returns and may be deducted from any refund where permitted by law.

If an item is returned in a condition that does not meet this policy, we may deduct reasonable costs from the refund, including return shipping, collection, repackaging, repair, replacement parts, or diminished value, where permitted by law.

Inspection and Return Condition

All returned items are inspected after they arrive at our return facility. A refund will be issued only if the returned item meets the return eligibility requirements stated in this policy.

An item may be rejected or may qualify only for a partial refund if it is:

  • Used, assembled, installed, altered, stained, damaged, or missing parts;
  • Returned without original packaging or protective materials;
  • Damaged due to improper repacking or return shipping by the customer;
  • Returned after the 45-day return window; or
  • A non-returnable item as described below.

If a return is rejected after inspection, we will notify you using the contact details associated with your order. Where practical, we may offer to return the item to you, subject to payment of any applicable shipping or handling costs.

Refund Process

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether the return has been approved. For approved returns, we will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 7 to 14 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible. If the original payment method is unavailable, expired, closed, or otherwise unable to receive the refund, we may issue store credit or use another lawful refund method at our discretion, where permitted by law.

Refunds for cancelled, unavailable, or unshipped items will be processed within the timeframe required by applicable law.

After we issue the refund, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may take additional time to post the funds to your account. We do not control bank or card issuer processing times.

Original shipping charges, upgraded delivery fees, white-glove delivery charges, assembly fees, installation fees, and other service fees are non-refundable unless the refund is due to our error or required by applicable law.

If your order included a discount, promotional code, store credit, gift card, bundle discount, free item, or other promotion, any refund may be adjusted to reflect the actual amount paid and the terms of the promotion. Promotional discounts, vouchers, and store credits may not be reinstated after cancellation or refund unless we choose to do so.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect all items at delivery. If visible damage is present, note the damage with the carrier before signing for delivery where possible. If only part of an order is damaged, do not refuse undamaged items or parts. If an item or part is structurally damaged and unusable, you may refuse only the damaged item or part and contact us immediately.

If your item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us at support@nuemadesign.com as soon as possible, preferably within 7 days after delivery so that we can investigate the issue, assess any shipping damage, and submit a carrier claim where applicable. Delayed reporting may limit the remedies available for shipping-related damage, but this does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Please include:

  • Your order number;
  • A description of the issue;
  • Clear photos of the product;
  • Clear photos of the packaging, including the outer box or crate; and
  • Photos of any shipping labels or visible damage.

Packaging photos are required so that we can assess shipping damage and, where applicable, submit a carrier claim. Please keep the product and all original packaging until the issue is resolved.

If we confirm that the item was defective, damaged in transit, or incorrect, we will offer an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement parts, repair, replacement, collection, refund, or partial refund, depending on the issue and product availability.

Shipping Delays

We aim to deliver orders within the estimated delivery timeframe shown at checkout or in your order confirmation. Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays, freight scheduling, weather events, supply chain delays, or other circumstances outside our control.

If we are unable to ship within the timeframe stated at checkout or in your order confirmation, we will notify you and, where required by applicable law, give you the option to agree to the delay or cancel the unshipped item for a refund.

If your delivery is delayed by more than 10 days beyond the estimated delivery date, contact us at support@nuemadesign.com. We will work with you to provide an update and, where appropriate, offer a reasonable resolution.

Cancellations

Cancellation requests for orders already placed should be sent to support@nuemadesign.com as soon as possible after placing your order.

Orders may be cancelled only if they have not yet entered processing, production, dispatch, freight booking, or shipment. Once an order has entered processing, production, dispatch, freight booking, or shipment, it may no longer be cancellable and may need to be handled as a return under this policy.

Custom-made, made-to-order, special-order, or customized products cannot be cancelled once they have entered production, customization, procurement, or preparation for shipment, because production and supplier costs may already have been incurred. These items are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive defective, damaged, incorrect, or unless otherwise required by applicable law.

If an order or item is cancelled before shipment, unavailable, or otherwise eligible for cancellation under applicable law, we will process any applicable refund to the original payment method within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless they arrive defective, damaged, incorrect, or unless return is required by applicable law:

  • Custom-made or made-to-order products;
  • Products that have entered production or customization;
  • Used, assembled, installed, altered, or modified products;
  • Products without original packaging;
  • Gift cards; and
  • Items that cannot be returned for hygiene, safety, or resale reasons.

Exchanges

We do not guarantee exchanges. If you would like a different item, size, color, or finish, the fastest option is usually to return the eligible item under this policy and place a new order.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued where appropriate, including where an item is returned with missing parts, damaged packaging, customer-caused damage, signs of use, or other condition issues that reduce the resale value of the product.
